Join the trail! Learn to walk with Jesus, one step at the time. You will experience him in a whole new way, grow in your relationship with him, and go to the nations to share his love.
We believe we were not created to walk by ourselves. During your time with us, you will meet other Christians, hear their stories, and be part of a community.
Lecture Phase: To Know God
Lecture phase is 12 weeks of teaching from international speakers, teaching from the Bible and sharing their own life experience with God. It is a time to dive deep in your relationship with God, to be challenged, encouraged to grow, to work in teams and learn how to apply what you have been taught along the way. In addition, during the week you take part in practical work, small groups, local ministries in the area, worship, intercession, and have follow up with staff.
Topic examples: Hearing God’s voice - Nature and Character of God - Holy Spirit - Identity in Christ - Evangelism - Missions
WORKERS GATHERING: In November, we will join YWAM Norway’s Worker’s Gathering, which is a time to meet people from different DTSs, bases, and ministries in Norway.
Outreach Phase: To Make Him Known
The Outreach phase is a unique opportunity to experience new cultures and have a taste of what it looks like to be a missionary. You will put into practice what you have learned during lecture phase and see how God can use you to impact people’s lives.
We have two main goals in mind while abroad: to tell people about Jesus and to show his love through practical works. Outreach may include street evangelism, preaching, working with churches and schools, hosting youth programs, mercy ministry, etc…
God loves the Nations, and so do we! Jesus gave this command, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all.” Mark 16:15
God has put these four locations on our hearts: Greenland, Himalayas, Southeast Europe and Middle East. The location of Outreach will be announced during the lecture phase.

The Trail DTS has a focus on discipling young Christians to grow closer to God, learn how to walk with Jesus in their daily life, and be strengthened in the foundation of their faith.
Spending time with God is essential to get to know him. One practical way to do this is to grow in our understanding of the Bible, which is why every week we will dive deeper in the Word through Bible study.
As part of our base’s calling to reach Northern Norway, we will participate in existing ministries run by the base such as youth group, café Nordlys, evangelism, worship and intercession.
Every week during lecture phase, there will be a testimony night to hear from Christians with different experiences and backgrounds. Not only will you hear from them, but you will also put into practice sharing your faith, which is a natural step in our Christians lives.
As a follower of Jesus, we are part of the body of Christ, therefore we will attend local churches and connect with the local believers. We will also meet YWAM staff and students from across Norway.
The area where the base is situated offers a multitude of outdoor activities that you can do in your free time.
